if you insist on using the anti roll bar then get the spacers from lowering your tie bars... there supposed to improove handling

I dont use my anti roll bar anymore, used to pick a wheel up off the ground on tight corners now it handles miles better without it

Yep they handle better once you are runngin harder springs anyways,
Sibs is correct lowering the tie bar mount improves the handling by increasing the caster on the sus.

the extra weight of the bigger engine means the car is more likely to slide out the front end round corners. if you bin the anti roll bar, it creates more body roll at the front, giving it more chance to keep traction and wheels on the road. you can corner faster without it, tests on my backroads proved this. i got home 4 seconds quicker one night

I never had an anti rollbar on mine... I guess most people recomend to keep it that way? Save me a bit of money too

ainsley_brader - 4 seconds is a lot if you in desperate need for a crap after a bad curry night before lol.
only difference i really noticed was when i threw it into a roundabout it didnt slide and wasnt on as much opposite lock trying to pull front end back round.
think about it though, getting rid of it is weight saving

This is what it would look like if you have no anti roll bar, the two bars are suspension tie bars, not ARB's. An ARB is an extra bit that connects the wtwo tie bars toether.

I didn't want the brakes falling off at 130mph Though I guess you can just whip them up... Just had the torque wrench at hand....

there are tourque settings for every bolt on every engine. mate who works for vw showed me a book for mk4 golfs. rocker cover bolts at 3nm and shit like that.
i just tighten until im happy except with head bolts and internal engine bits etc.
doing it by the book is the way to do it properly though

you proffesional. take a bow, lol
i judge things on how my 16stone of pure eating muscle would bounce up and down on a long bar without breaking anything. i am a human tourque wrench, or just quite heavy with a long bar to jump on. either works for me
