My Corsa C is a 1.0, looked at getting dbilas inlet etc to add 15 odd bhp, but realistically could insure a better car even at 18 no bother so jus bought a gsi then aswell. was only 800 quid insurance back then

i have got a 1.0 corsa c, i have 17`s lowered it and done a few other subtle touches, u can go as far as u want there is no point in modifying the engine!!
sum ppl say my car is nice looking but crap cos it only has a 1.0 12v but its only for insurance really and its my first car!!
but always remeber that you are faster than a 1.2 8v !!

id keep it smooth and subtle, avoid engine mods as obviously it isnt worth the money. Get the car itself looking smooth styling wise and when insurance allows you always have the engine conversion route to go down for more power.

The thing i don't understand is people are willing pay to modify a car but not to buy as decent car in the first place.

They have a 1.2 with about 10K sepnt on it then blight about how they can't afford a faster car They could have got a Scooby and insured it for that.

Do what you like, engines are interchangable... Though to be honest there is a certain degree where I would stop with a Corsa. Like I don't think I will buy another set of alloys or another set of seats just to be in with the latest trend. I also wouldn't spend millions on abodykit unless it was some wicked wide arch job... It's up to you at the end of the day though.
