anything around 250 is fine. 300 is great thing is with the small capacity engines is that you have to drive them at full power the whole time. thats what i love about having a 2.0 with a good shove of torque, can haul itself about without having to guzzle petrol. am getting a good 400 miles from a 66litre tank.

yeah gearing and cruising has a lot to do with it. the larger engines can cruise at much lower RPM because they have the torque to keep them chugging along, and engines like yours need power, hence the gearing to allow higher revs.
My dads landcruiser sits at about 1500rpm at 110kph.

I get about 400-450 out of a full tank , but most of my driving is country roads where you can sit at 60.Most i've had out of a tank was 475!, changing gear at 3k revs.
By the way mine is a 1.0l 2000 model corsa b.
