No clock mileage is for the car, you need to record the mileage for the engine separately.

It's really quite obvious how it's done if you look at the back of the clocks...

Yeah its suprisingly easy to change the mileage. Not suprised all the new cars are computerised nowadays.

Its not illegal to do it, but a bit dodgy if you sell it and misrepresent the milage!

Heres what we did to a mates car for a laugh...

Then took it for the MOT LOL

The electronic ones are easy also if you take the unit apart, which you shouldn't.

Are you sure Ian There is a place at the back of Mc Donald’s on Edge Lane with a big sign outside saying we change mileage I thought it was illegal but surely they would not put a big sign outside First left off the roundabout and then do right into a hidden retail park with a few warehouses etc.

I'm sure you can't tamper with the clock units. I know you can fit new ones with zero miles on but then yeah, you must delare this when the vehicle is sold on.

A lad I know got a £3000 fine and 3 trading penalty points for clocking cars for 'associates' he mixed with. £50 a shot too.
