And about time too!!! Been running progressivly worse for about the last 3 months now!
Problem has been fuel pressure..... it was OK on idle, and off boost, but as soon as it came on boost, the pressure went down... not good!
Car was still very drivable, and didn't hang round in its poorly state. But obviously the car knew something wasn't right, and would only do 9psi, no matter what boost setting it was on. Infact the car ran better on bottom boost doing 9psi, than if I moved the boost controller up to top and it doing 9psi. Managed to smoke off two Celica GT4's to their amazement
So what actually was wrong? Well this is why it has taken so long (and so many goes) to fix. There was no management light, and it literally could of been one of a hundred things! The best way to solve a problem like this is to change everything until its fixed!
Had to change the fuel filter, fuel pump, amal valve, lambda sensor, air charge temp senson, fuel pressure regulator and put some bigger injectors in. Also changed some of the wiring to the pump. All to NO avail!
Anyhow, I bought a tank off here from a lass called trisha breaking her car. That ment a bit of fiddling round on my tank, which showed up a bad seal on the tank (not sure where, but tank had been apart and together loads and loads of times). This stopped the reek of petrol the car had in it (proper knockout, I was off my head driving half the time LOL).
Last night it was hitting 12psi in the bottom boost position. I raced a claimed 300bhp EsCos (had greens and a T34 so seems plausable) and beat it. That was on bottom boost, but because the controller has done nothing for so long we forgot to try it turned up LOL. Turned it up and it flew round to 20psi. Bingo! Back in business!
No signs of any slight misfires up at high boost either, so I'm VERY happy! Just wish'd I'd turned the boost up when we raced the EsCos
So look out for me at a RWYB very soon, as I've wanted to run all year but not been able to due to one thing or another with the car!
Many thanks to Will @ Cossvaux, many many hours spent on the car, and many bits given to me. Proper top bloke.... Also my good mate Rich who has spent far too many hours on the car, either with Will or on his own
All in all I'm a happy bunny again, and I actually like my car now

Jambo - Mine doesn't even run a DV, but I know a few people that put one on their car and said it was a much more responsive drive. No compressor stall to overcome I guess!

It has a wash last night..... then rained! It was gleeming!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
I'm sure its running better than ever before. Held it in 4th last night on low boost, then with full throttle on flick the boost round, it went from 12psi to 20psi held!
The road was damp-ish so car wouldn't get any traction, which was annoying. First time its been right and I can't drive it properly!
Vibro yes it does come with one as standard. But mine doesn't have that OR a dump valve....
