it will make a difference to your car yes but it MAY NOT help beat a vts
i think u will give it a good goin
it aint about speedin round streets although we all do it, i say you wanna beat a vts spend some proper money an do the 20xe or 20let conversion
best place to giv any car a race is on the track or get them both on the rollers get some official figures

TBH i would say 125 BHP max all your bhp is at peak rpm the saxo will ave a lot more useable power and a lot less weight. Im sure i remeber a saxo making 135 BHP with just breathing mods, those engines do respond to simple mods very well

mine made an extra 5 bhp over brosters when we both had 1.4 16v extra bit on mine were unichip, 4 branch janspeed and decat. Broster now only runs 138 with cams and headwork on top of your mods on his 1.6. but tbh i dont think his cams are set uo right due to him being on std ish management

i think the vts will win, with my mods and a strippedo ut car i only do 15.7 1/4mile times, only a bit faster than a standard vts/gti! also if the unichip was mapped for your car do you have the power figures or wasn't it mapped for you, if it wasnt then you may not be gaining any power!

its all about Weight, BHP, and importantly Torque!!!
and coz every car is tuned differently its hard to tell who could win unless you know these exact figures! which is why lots of vts owners have said they have smoked a corsa and vice versa!
as a guess, i would say the vts probably has better mid range, so 0-40mph shifting from 1st gear to second he would beat ya, but after that the corsa with uprated inlet has a mental upper rev range so you will start catching up

for some reason my 1.4 sport seams to beat 1.6 VTRs at higher speeds.
is that something to do with the short box... pretty sure i've been going flat out against a few (took me about 1/2 mile to overtake one... ended up doing 98mph from about 60)
or guessing the 16v has something to do with it?
corsa will weigh around 200kg more than paxo.... so strip it and whack a 1.4 box on and you might have an edge on it.
