What would happen if you fitted just lowering springs without shocks?Or can you keep standard shocks.Actually,I don't have a clue about lowering, what is needed and what has the car got?If anyone can be bothered,I don't blame you if you can't be!!

you'll be bouncing all over the place and your shocks will end up dying prematurely.

im lowered 40 mm on springs, on standard shocks, bumpy ride as the dampeners are quite soft, and the springs are harder but more compressed... soon as ive a job tho im getting coilovers

What's thedifference between shocks and coilovers? The price? So you have to get shocks and springs? What price do they range from and for fitting?£350 fitted at my top gear

Coilovers are usually much more apt for suspension, adjustable ride quality and height, just good sports suspension and you can go damn low

i use to have just lowering springs on standard shocks, as long as you don't lower more than 40mm they will be alright, just shortens their life, but my shocks were 15yrs old and lasted another 2yrs after lowering

i've done -35mm on the shocks my sport came on, its a bit bumpy at times but seems to do the trick.
if i wasn't starting uni soon i'd put some better shocks on... about £130 for a full set of G-max on www.larkspeed.co.uk
