Cleaned the driveway yesterday so when i parked car up put a piece of cardboard underneath to catch the obligatory drips of oil..

Checked it today and there is oil pishing out from where it looks like to be behind the front passsenger wheel

deffo looks like oil not grease, there is only a few little spots under sump..

Taking it to starkie on sunday and the good guy he is he is going to check it out for me, also have a few wee knocks too..heres hoping gearbox ain't on it's way out

how much for an F20????

Had gearbox oil changed last week so maybe not done right??? dunno....

not looking good i fear....

Starkie is main man though going to check it for me

f20 isnt much, and it will probably be that if its oil running out, the cv boot will be grease and that will be all over the inside of one of the wheels.

no grease that i can see inside the wheel...

Thing thats getting me is that gearbox oil was changed last week, wonder if garage hasn't done something right???

no bad price then for an F20 then, starkie said he would fit it too if needed

hopefully not the gearbox though...

when i had first problems, i thought it was the CV as the rubber boot split and had grease all over the place.
upon further inspection, it turned out to be the gearbox's fanial drive or something died.

like i said, not that much for a 2nd hand gearbox. labour is the most costly thing

oh willay, i got a guy who used to work at vauxhall to do mine

reminds me of once having an engine/gbox oil done on my mini. later that day i deposited the final drive all over the road and had to have a new gearbox!!!

for it to leak it maybe just a plug im sure you have to have a new on every time

im sure mav can tell the difference between cv grease and oil!! If the gearbox has been worked on recently then i would be starting by investigating this work

yeo deffo oil..

been checked and coming out of gearbox, must have happened when geabox oil was replaced..Going to go back in tomorrow to get it fixed..

also slight knock is coming from bottom ball joint, which I will replace also,..

least it's not the gearbox it's self just a leak..
