I was looking through ebay and someone was selling a rocker cover "modified" this is what it said
IT IS COULOR CODED WHITE AND HAS HAD THE BREATHER MODIFICATION DONE
SO THAT THE OIL CAN GET AROUND THE TAPPETS ECT QUICKER, THE INSIDE PLATE HAS BEEN DRILLED
THERE FOR HELPING WITH THE GOOD OLD RED TOP TRAIT OF NOISY TAPPETS
THIS IS IN EXCELENT CONDITION
Does anyone know how to do this and does it actual work? As my tappets are noisy and looking for a cheaper cure than replacing the tappets.

bit on there about it. basically just drill holes in the metal plate inside the cover from what i understand.
really though its basically gonna come down to changing the lifters regardless. once they start getting noisey, theyre life span is at an end. what are they? 100ish a set of 16?

Wont do anything for tappets at all.
If your engine has a bit of piston ring blow by, it may stop it dumping a load of oil out of the breather.

i think your about £200+ set of tappets! Looks like i'm going to have to get a set. Cheers for the help guys!

yeah they are abouut £100 from autovaux but there not geunine, I would only fit genuine lfifetrs there about £16 each from LMF.

Pattern ones will be much better then 100k old ones.
