Is it just since the accident or was it getting hot before hand?

sounds to me like the radiator dude.
Best bets get a new rad if you can see any leaks. new fan switch while your at it and a thermostat

you could have a leak in the system, check all pipes and the radiator itself, easy and cheap enough to replace, check water levels first, might just be that

Vauxhalls love over heating after slight accidents. I've heard of loads (vectras. corsas and astras) which have had problems with the radiator after small impacts. Some don't even have any visible accident damage on the bodywork but i think the bumper gets pushed in and damages it? I'll try and find out some more
