Started my car up on the drive today, about 5-10 minutes later the amber engine management light came on the dials. Turned it off soon as it appeared, started the engine back up and the light didnt appear. What could be a possible problem causing the light to come on. How critical could this be?

if it stays on youve got a problem and even then it might only be a minor issue. What engine is it

Its a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2

it wont do any damage driving around with the light on but it needs checking and correcting

if the light comes on briefly and goes bk out it is off no significance. could have just missed a signal from a sensor or summit. if it stays on then somethings "fucked"

i have the same problem on mine same engine etc might put it on a computer cheacks all the faults

Mine does that but only on motorways say when im between 80-90 it comes on :S
its well werid its like im pushin it too much, prob cuz its a lil week 1.0 12v haha
