Just wondering what intercoolers you lot have on your let's, and how have you fastened them on. I have a big 3" core one that i got a while ago but havnt fitted it cause im sure it will be too big and may cause lag,tho its 3" have got the silocone pipes to reduce into 2". If you have any pics could you plz post them as the one i have on at the minute im sure is shite and isnt gettin any cool air, thanx.

Unlikely to cause lag, just zip tie it on, route the pipework, and adjust bumper to suit.
I've got a load of preformed 2.5" stainless bends for sale if your interested, make fitting easy.

It shouldnt cause any lag. Mine dont. only 0.2PSI drop @ 15PSI. You can cable tie them down, last guys I fitted I made aluminium brackets and TiG'd them on to the intercooler and connected the brackets to various bolt holes already on the car.

the intercooler is pretty heavy, i think it would need bolting on or welded somehow. i have two 3" 90degree hose already miles but im needing two 3" to 2" reducers if you have any of these let me know. do you get better gains from mounting it in your bumper? so the hole thing is getting air or is it just as good sitting behind the bumper if possible, cheers

would too big an intercooler hinder the airflow to the radiator behind it? and therefore cause the engine to run warmer?

this is another point i was going to make, im sure somehow the radiator would get enough cool air, maybe. might be wrong

well intercoolers are designed so ait passed thropugh them do the rad will still be getting cold air.
obviously having all the intercooler showing, ie the total surface area in the open, it is better to aid the cooling.
having too much of a big intercooler can have the oposte effect on the engine as desired though.
if you got the time to read it all www.max-boost.co.uk
top web site, lots of info regarding all things c20let engines

Decent pipe work will secure it firmly in place. Zip ties will then make sure if you cant make your own bracket, or as a stop gap.
The pipes I have for sale are 316L stainless 2.5" preformed bends, I have 6 90 degrees and 4 45 degree bends. My mate just used these, a length of 2.5" cut up silicon hose and a load of jubilee clips to fit a evo intercooler to his Calibra turbo. No welding or pipe bending required.

if you got good metal pipework, as miles says, will keep it in place nicely then a couple of cable ties here n there, works a treat.
lol, dont want it falling off when doing 140, cracks me up that, 140 is 5th gear, got a whole other gear to go yet mr corsa boi, well, unless you got an f20 on it.
ive had mine at over, ahem, 160 on an air filed

i have only got a f20 on it, i wish i got the f28 now tho but hey its good enough as it is. it goes off the clock and reset's. but yeh i get where your coming from with the pipe work, good metal pipework will hold it in place, hopefully
so will the pipes that you have miles fit nicely, where they made for a corsa or are they off a calibra?

My mate used 10 pipes the same as these. They are not for any car, they are high quality industrial stainless pipes (food spec quality) and allow completely universal fitment.
