2.0 turbo and the back still only does about 15% of the braking

god here we go again...
been discussed on corsa-c.co.uk
he has uprated the brakes to the 1.8 sri discs and calipers, more than enough to stop the car.
and rear brakes do bugger all of the breaking as adam said, so it doesnt matter if it has drums on the back, even if it is yellow.

Rear disks only serve the purpose of looking good. They do lock up and they are a waste of time.

1.8 SRi discs and calipers genuinely enough to stop a 2 litre turbo in a Corsa?
Would've thought he'd have needed sommat a bit bigger?
TBH though you know if your brakes are shit or not - if I'm comfortable with my brakes then I'll keep them, even if they are just standard.

I doubt a 2.0 weighs much more that a 1.8. So long as the brakes are ventilated then they shouldn't overheat. I guess if you are planning on giving the car a lot of grief you would want to think about making the front brakes a bit bigger...

And thats why I have rear drums on my P1, my Nissan 200sx also had rear drums and so did my BMW M3 Evo.
