I know AK got his from an Auction & he struck gold with it as he got exactly what he wanted. Only propblem is auctions are very unpredictable & its pot luck.

I don't need anything to specific. Just a newish shell (say 99/98ish) which is a basic model & has no rust. I don't really car wether or not the engine works properly or not.

I've looked on autotrader & all the ones for 600-800 seem to be shitters, real shitters infact. Rather disappointed tbh

I don't like the idea of buying off ebay. But im not going to rule it out completely

Only other option I can come up with is to phone up local car dealerships (Citreon/Honda/Ford/Fiat etc) & see if they have any that have been traded in & are going cheap. I have seen on TV before where people have bought a car for just a quid Costs the garage something like £150 to scrap it & some car can't/wont sell on the forecourt.

Anyone else think of other good places to try

Cheers

Really?

This is good news

I imagine it better to steer clear of the Vauxhall dealerships as they have a better chance of selling it on?

Probably, though my shitter is nothing like what you want I think.

its a 93/94 (first year they were made?) in red ( ) with an LS interior, 1.4 8v. Overheats too, well did before I dropped the engine onto a palet.

No rust as such, but I'm replacing parts as a precaution, today I ordered:

track rod end
top ball joint
lower arm ball joint

for both sides, one of Ben's recomendations.
