had a recent oil change? sounds like a lazy hydraulic ajuster or something... try a simple oil flush/change 1st.

If it was the tappets surely it would do it at cold temps not just hot??

they're not tappets and you can't adjust them... if they're noisey then you either bin em or clean em out

tappets can be adjusted - not by yourself but a specially designed computer

nah there isn't but corsa engines all use self adjusting hydraulic lifters... they cannot be adjusted, only cleaned or replaced... it could be due to a number of things, maybe the pressure relief valve is sticking or maybe the pump is on its way out, an oil and filter change may help

This ticking noise is standard on the 1.4 and 1.6 ecowreck engines, something to do with pistons, my 1.6 had an engine due to this and the new engine ticks too, only cure seems to be thicker oil but then the oil pump dies, and no the tappets cannot be adjusted as they are hydraulic lifters and work on oil pressure.
