If you drive your car into your local town which is about 2 miles (mostly flat and down hill) not fast or hard. Then on the way back you get caught at tyraffic lights and your temperature gauge rises to 100 and your fan comes on does this mean its over heating??
It does this quite often, thanks

Corsa B's tend to hit the 100c temp whilst stuck in traffic. As long as the fan comes on and cools the engine back down to just over 90c, then its normal. Think its an characteristic of early vaux engines.
