ok heres my prob. my corsa keeps on cutting out because the revs are dropping too low. the speedo as also stopped working, also the reverse lights havent worked since this problem came about. any ideas??

yeh go to a garage and ask them to have a look... if its easy sort it ya self if not pay garage

the speedo is not registering the speed to the ecu so your car will cut out when approaching junctions etc, try getting the speedo to work again by checking the connections/cable in the back.

i had problem
speedo and petrol gauge stopped working - turned out to be one of the fuses

its cable driven speedo u nonce,
cable must of snapped and i bet u a pound to a pile of sh!te it'll be down at the gearbox connection

piss myself at you lot!!!! later corsas had electronic speedo-fuse for this also runs reverse lights and fag lighter bcuz its a 15+ ignition supply!!!!!
ha ha, also the speedo cable on earlier corsas generates the speedo reading and an electronic reading in the instrument which is fed to the ecu, this is why when ur speedo cable snaps after a while EML comes on.

If the reverse lights are also off I would hazard a guess that its a late model, has electronic speedo and the fuse has gone.
If its early then yeah, cable snapped and this would explain running problems but not reverse lights!

yeah it would of been fuse, happened to mine
i used to keep loose change in the ashtray and when i when to put something in cig lighter hole (meanwhile i didnt have the cig lighter in there) it wouldnt go in!! when i looked there was a coin stuck in there lmao!! as i tried to pull it out it sparked and popped my fuse bastid
