Rite, my engine management light is on and the car is running in safe mode Took it down to a local bloke and he plugged it into his diag equipment through the plug in the Fuse pannel and there was no reading.

Would that plug possibley have been bi passed and the necessary plug be situated somewhere else?

Also how do i found out what ECU the car is running?

You tried having a look behind the fuse box?

bloke obvioulsy has eithe rshitty piece of kit or doesnt know how to use it.

Our texa one displays a picture of where to plug in, 90% of the time its into the ecu

Depends who did your conversion, most people will not wire in the tech 2 plug.

This car has a Diagnogstcs port trust me, and if the EML is on its nothing too serious prolly a dodgy sensor or summat

there's a guide to doing a paper clip test in faq and tutorial section.

i think most conversions still enable the diagnostics connector.

Sorted now, tinkered with the Throttle petensiometer and it was loose, re set the ecu and the light is now out

the ecu is wired into the diagnostic port so should work. it did last time i had the car

cant remember now. but i think he was changing it to an fp which is an early one like out of an astra gte. as it had lambda fault as it didnt have the sensor
