Carbs, Manifold, choke, cables, Air filters, throttle linkage, ignition system and loom.

the ignition bit bothers me... where could i source it, it'd be ignition only

christ your as bad as me 2.0 8v......then1.6 on TB's... then 2.0... then 1.6 on trottle boddies(again).... then a new car... then 1.6 on carbs...

why bother with carbs? lots of hassle, just get tb's. they are great

well pleased with mine.

air-fuel-spark
gets rid of all this electronic crap
once all setup and running there awsome, my bucket has never let me down once.

You can get a kit from Alpha that is just an ignition system.

Or you can use the ignition system from an old Nova with a carb on it....

Have a look on Demon Tweeks because they do ignition only systems...

can't use a mechanical dizzy on a c16xe lump, the head hasnt got any casting allowing the use of a dizzy... unless its run off the cam pulley somehow

emerald is a god choice. there is a 1.4 16v on carbs in a nova thats pushing good power.... carbs are often over looked....

because throttle bodies are better, more reliable and widely available. dont need tuning and setting up as often either. ive had a few cars on carbs, never been 100% satisfied with them.

humm........throttle bodies are not "better" than carbs at all, depends how you work with each.... i would be happier with bodies on my engine but i wouldn't over look carbs, they are very good, reliable too and if well set up, which isn't a problem, will perform equally as well.... carbs dont ned setting up that often anyway... its a myth!

mine did i agree that carbs are cool, but now ive got my tb's i will never get a carbd car again as a daily driver.
