Im a newbie to modding. Ive sorted out myself some 15" Lenso RS5's but want the car lowered 40mm. Ive just got a quote by a company for £390 which is for the spring and fitting. To me that seems a bit excessive. Anyone know if its the sort of job that is fairly easy to do myself.

Anyone in me area wana give me a hand for a bit of ££?

i got a gmax kit (springs with matched dampers) for £270 and fitted for £90

So if its just springs it is a bit steep as a set of springs is about £100 so id say £200 for springs fitted would be ok

The rears are easy as pie. Unbolt the shocks top and bottom - spring just drop out. Replace springs and shocks

Front is a bit more difficult and would be better by a garage. The springs need to be compressed, but fitting them to the car is a doddle.
