All,

Can I just remind you all that email is for business use only. We have seen an increase in personal and un -work related emails circulating in the department, the latest of which being David Hasselhoff related. Yes I have seen them. Whoever printed them from their email left the pictures on the printer and our MD, Simon Ralphs found them there last night. So well done. This is not the impression I want our MD to have of our Department i.e. we have nothing better to do than circulate and print personal emails.

Please do not use the company email system to forward such emails, if caught, you will, without question face disciplinary action.

really, where i used to work monitered all my emails and told me they wernt for personal use etc, kept giving me little lectures about it

They can look at numbers that you send/recieve but they cannot remotley go into your inbox and print off examples of what you have been sending/receiving, its a European directive or some bollocks about invasion of privacy.

yer if its a work email address like mine .....@basildonNHS.co.uk (didnt want to put my full one in as i didnt want hasselhoff porn sent to my work email ) etc they can but they cannot look in your personal email like hotmail etc. this is why hotmail etc are usually blacklisted and cannot be accessed as they have no control over what comes in and out etc.
