D-Link 604+ if they still make it. Get some Cisco PIX stuff for the VPN.

Or Draytek 2600G if you want an all in one solution for about £150...
Or a 2800G will do the new ADSL2...

i tend to avoid those D link 604 had one and it kept droping the DNS every 2 days got a Netgear DG834 now and its been up for about 3 months without me having to touch it.

Must have been your dodgey settings. Never had a problems with any of them.
