For any of you who are interested how things were, as of last week when i last took some pics, here they are :















Its nearly done now, just the final fillering, then test installation, then off to the bodyshop with it.

Crossovers, there too big to fit behind the door card so im making them visible.

Only trouble i am running into is what to do with the 2 electric window switchs on the drivers door lol.

Get a switch housing from a tigra and mount them in that. Then build the new housing into the door card Adi

hmm i like the idea of using the centre consol to house them some how, how would you go about tracing the wires back into the car and then extending them to there?

yes it just drops in, held in with 4 screws and 2 strips of velcro, safe as houses.

I am intrested to see how you do the side panels for the boot.

Or do you just intend to have the fibreglass boot box placed in the boot on its own?

Thats a very interesting way of making a boot install. Is that just a stretchy fabric that has been resin coated?

yeah fabric resin coated, then fibreglassed ontop and then filler.

And pete making the box look nice in there once the box is in is the fun part, im gonna make my own panel to cover the gaps (fibreglass of course lol) but its gonna be a serious pain i can tell already.

How thick have you made the fibreglass? I thought it was meant to be thicker than that when using it to build sub boxes, think how MDF resonates when you touch a sub box. Fibreglass will be worse, surely?

oh its pretty thick, 5 odd layers, + the original cloth, and that cloth is thick and well saturated with resin. Box is solid u can kick it to shit and its fine lol.

Gonna test play it for a week or 2 before it get painted tho, if i have any troubles, ill just add more on the inside. We shall see.

lookin gd adi, def will look gd when finished, and i know there wont be any rattles in uyr car as i saw the amount of dynamat u had in there at pvs, and i bet u put more in lol well done lad
