have been having a bit of vibration on my brakes for a while, not warped disc vibs.... worse.... havent had the time or money to get it fixed for a while, had new discs but was waiting to get new pads first.... anyway today i put new discs and pads on the car, removed the old black diamond disc's and green stuff pads to find th efull extent of what was causing the vibration, i knew it was not good but this disc is shocking IMO....
images of inside of the disc:

outer face of the disc

thats the drivers side disc, the passenger side was fine, all the pads wer worn the same way..... whats caused this!?

looks like defective disc material... or its got very very hot at some point then cooled rapdidly... should see the pads that just came off mine i'd say about 0.5 mm of material left if that

surely if it had got hot it would have damaged both sides of the disc.... not just one side of one disc

no brakes feel fine. stops well no pulling.... when the brakes are cool they work fantastic, when it gets hot it just vibrates like buggery, calipers are pretty new anyway.... they are as old as the pads i took out!

funny you should say that.... i lit up the discs on my old rover and it was only the inner side of the discs that were knackered

Looks similar to the brake discs I took off my car a couple of months ago. Haven't got a pic of the discs but heres a pic of the old pad next to the new pad

Thats O.E. spec 2.0 16v pads
