you can get a steel one instead of the standard alloy that bends rather than crack if you bash it.
think they are from 2l 8v's but not entirely sure.

can use the 2litre 8valve sump!
also best using the 8v sump gasket as its one piece rubber instead of the 16v cork which always leaks...

but the 8v sumps are heavy, and go rusty. Does the 8v gasket have the baffle plate on, i used a 2l ecotec gasket. been on 3 days and no leaks yet!

we used the 8v gasket with all the original 16v sump and baffle plate..
no leaks yet either.. im sure the ecotec is rubber aswell is it?

yes, 1 piece rubber with a baffle plate in the middle.

mind u we filled it with instant gasket as well
