What was the speed limit of the road?
They wont take that into account that u need your licence just to get to college. They might take sympathy if your in a trade which involves driving and losing your licence would mean losing your job

not an automatic ban, i got off with 6 points and £200 finefor doing 106. But it all depends on the judge and if your represented etc etc. Will be a ban if you dont put any effort in.

Your fucked I'd say.
I got done for 101.4 mph and got away with 6 points - which I was very lucky with.
I can't imagine you getting away with 109 mph without a ban. plus if it's your first 2 years of driving you'll only be allowed 6 points anyway - so even if you get a lighter punishment like me you'll still get banned.
Weird if they have no evidence you may not be that bad, but the chances are they recorded it on something and providing there were 2 coppers - even a calibrated speedo is enough to convict you.
Them telling you that you've been nicked was your 'NIP' or Notice of Intended Prosecution, they now have 6 months to send you a court summons. So you'll have to wait and see. Mine turned up in around 3 months.
Mine was also on a clear motorway and I got done by an unmarked Evo.
Did they read you your rights (police caution) ... i.e. 'You have the right to remain silent etc'

Polices statements count as evidence though. If two coppers say you where doing the speed the judge is likely to beleive them.
They would not send you to court without evidence.

You will most prob likely have to pay a hefty fine and points and resit your test again.
