do you think that there may be bugs in the game? There is a big thread on a FM forum, people playing the same game over again with different tactics and it making no difference, one guy even put himself as manager of both teams and played the under 18 side with the goalie up front and striker in net, the u18 side won 2-0

Only played up until Xmas (demo). But my Inter team is about 8th and my Spurs team is bottom half
Can't get the tactics right. Like Carl says I win a few games then lose a good few in a row for no apparent reason.

best thing to do, is play a sweeper, and buy a good stricker, around 1million mark, ste thompson from rangers is a bargain. make him your target man, and play "run onto" balls to him, he;'ll score 20+ a season

Fookin hell, thats a bit suspect. Hope not, FM05 was muchos fun. FM06 is already pissing me off and i've yet to spend money buying it, the demo alone has already pissed me off

I've been having similar problems mate. Started the season with Newcastle and won the inter toto cup demolishing Deportivo in the final 4-0, Then beat Chelsea away 2-O, then all of a sudden I'm on the end of a 10 games streak without a win and getting pissed on at home by teams like Man City no matter what I try. Seriously starting to wind me up now

your just a bad manager
look where your going wrong.. work on that in training, also turn your training worload up to very heavy, you pick up more injuries, but with a good squad, it helps with player rotation

I don't agree, its unconsisted, if you have better plays, playing a standardish tactic should still win you games against alot of weaker teams. i was playing four across the back a dm and 4 across the middle, wingers running right to top, mc#s running forward, with a taget man playing counter attack and i was still leaking goals, my DM was getting man of the match on most games, i changed goalies to see if it was him, still no change. this is with Sheff utd.
I'm waiting for a newer patch before i start wasting my time on it. Glad i didn't pay for it,

Hmmm, there is a patch out for it already, but i agree, it is quite difficult, although tbh i am Crewe, and they have an awful defence in real life so not suprising really

have you not just "gone on holiday"
and the game is stupidly hard, theres been posts on "thedugout.net" too, about it.
it seems no matter what tactics, or what team i put out, i could be winning 2nil, then right before halftime, the other team will score 2 quick goals, and players scoring who would never normally score. its stupid, lets hope they got a new patch coming out to fix it, and soon, or else looks like FM06 will be used as a frizbe

no mate, that was the first thing i checked.
i was making offers for players and when it came to offering them contracts, id click on the bit at the bottom of the message, go to click on offer contract and without me pressing anything it'd go back to the messages and start reading through them automatically

on fm2005 on two occasions within a month or so, my goalie took a free kick from just outside the box with someone stood about 10 yards away and the ball bounced back off them into the net
