i'm so happy, after 4 solid days of hard graft, a few annoying little heater pipes, and todays problem with the lack of starting, finally, just now, my car actually works again
this afternoon i shall find out if its better than before
i'll get some vids tonight too and then everyone can see the amazing work of broster/marriott-tech

it was broster who rang
we think the timing was slightly out so we sorted it
then there was no fuel going to the injectors, so i unplugged the engine loom and plugged it in again, turned the key and it started straight away
why weren't you very awake adam? it was like 4:30 or something

i wasnt fully awake
was stripping mates corsa and changing interior, servicing it, finding oput why it was running on 3cyl
it looks like it never seen a service in years
and all i had was a cup of tea
and swearing at the audi every now and again

was the fault with the secondary solenoid valve anything to do with the recirc pump??

yeah it was, the plug had come loose. soon sorted that. just got idle control valve now... but not all the time lol, so it can stay.

yep ive just been for a blast myself, pulls cleanly and none of those stupid niggles you get when attempting something like this. Its a credit to both of their spannering skills.
Feels and drives exacly like broster's used to in fact
top job - just needs to go on the rollers now and find out what its doing

took it to jamsport today to get them to check over a few bolts etc, and all seems fine, so i believe robin has been giving it some stick! hes loving it!
