As i will be starting a c20xe conversion in the next few weeks it is time for the orginal lump to go.
I have for sale,
x14xe engine which has done 55k miles(see pics) from new with f13cr gearbox. Also wont be needing the driveshafts, ecu, exhaust manifold and maybe a few other odd bits.
History of the engine,
I have owned the car for 2 years now and the engine has never missed a beat! The car has had two owners form new, me being the second and my gran being the first! My gran owned it from 1996 till 2003 and then upgraded to a brand new corsa c. In that time the engine covered 29k miles (i have all the paperwork to prove it, see pics) and was serviced every year at vauxhall. Since then i have owned the car and have regularly serviced it every 10k miles and the car has passed the MOT faultlessly both times apart from a handbrake cable replacement.
I recently took the car to my first rolling road session and was amazed with the results. With a decat pipe and induction kit she produced 98.9 bhp at 7310rpm (see pics) with a solid power curve. Not bad for a pretty much standard engine.
The engine is currently still in the car and im using it everyday to get to commute so you can come and hearing it running or go for a drive before i remove it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this engine and common sense says i should keep it but ive always wanted a 2.0.
The price is £200ono
I may beable to deliver it as long as its not mega miles for a price.
Feel free to ask me any questions.
Cheers
Matt

Well a standard X14XE DOES NOT limit at 7310rpm. My mates has one, limits at 6750rpm. And the RR is way out...

Well mine according to regal rolling road hits the redline at 7310rpm with a decat pipe and induction kit! It has no others modifications, if it did i would ask for more money. I can accept that the rolling road may be wrong but the rpm isnt measued at the rollers! For whatever reason mine goes to 7310rpm. Must be wrong or i got a lucky one from vauxhall!!!!! If someones know why it would be good to know!

i have to agree with matt here tbh
my old 1.4 16v made 97.5 bhp on 2 different rolling roads with a backbox and induction kit
and went on to make 116bhp befroe i ripped it out

Cheers for your comments rob, i have to say that this is the best engine ive ever had in a car, bullet proof, responds well to tuning and good on fuel economy too!

in the manual it says the x14xe is limited to 6500rpm, the smaller engines usually 6000rpm.
ah well, we talking bhp at the fly? pretty sure a good induction kit and decat could pick up 10bhp if its going that high on the rpm.
ur granny a girlracer? bet she had nos on it as well lmao
*also noticed at 6500rpm where it should limit, it does 105mph, when that engine is usally booked at 112mph, that something to do with cr box?

U reckon a filter and a de-cat will get u 10bhp on a 1.4?? wouldnt even get that gain on a valver!!
Ive got the X16XE, got a de-cat and filter, NO WAY has it added 10bhp... prob about 3bhp if im lucky

to be fair, if a lexmaul gets around 10bhp.... the gain being from better air flow, then a decat and decent induction kit (like the viper or bmc) should get you a pretty hefty gain, much more than 3bhp
