heres mine in my old car, its not a screen its a graphic EQ but is still DIN size and fitted in there nicely

Hmmm, i didnt think it was that deep behind the vents.
Did you have to do alot of work to get it in there?! What did you do to the air flow for the side vents?! And what about heat shielding for the unit from the hot air coming through the vents?!

not hard to do, there is a large hole at the back of the dash which the air comes from, this was blocked using duck tape - lots of it! didnt affect airflow to the side vents
there is plenty of room for a din sized unit and lots of space for cables, the best thing to do would be to fibreglass a din sized fascia from halfords in the gap where the vents used to be, this would be better for securing the cage in.

Hmmm, so your side vents dont work at all then?! So all the heat you can get is windscreen and feet?!
