I've been working on this for a while now, and should have the first pair on a car this weekend.
the Kit will consist of
300mm rotor x 2
alloy mounting bell x 2
Bolts for the above x16
caliper mounting bracket
It is designed to be used with a 2L caliper (256mm normally). The combine rotor and bell (with bolts) weighs in at 5kgs, which is the same as a 256mm std disc. So you'll gain an extra 15% in braking at no gain in unsprung mass.
This kit is similar to the ones available for the honda's made by AEM
http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-4880.cfm
Why 2 piece discs?
Cast disks warp due to the sudden heat built up on the friction face of the disc and the centre still being ambient, 2 piece discs over come this by having a different material in the centre better able to disipate the heat away rapidly. Also the over all weight of the item is substainially less than a one piece cast item (288mm V6 disc is 7.8kgs a side) meaning no increase in sunsprung mass of the vechile.
Now the price
As you can see the above kit from the states costs $495 which is £285
Which is what I shall be selling these kits for, and postage and packing will be around £15
I am currently investigating 4-pot calipers to go with these brakes, so will be available in the future, but not at the mo.
I need 10 ppl's names who would be interested in this for there cars.
Add your name below if you would like a set.
Cheers James

I can do more than 10, that's the minimum I need though, so you won't necessarily miss the boat

Yes the discs are available through raldes. They hold a large stock of them and you'd have them the following day

Will spacing the caliper out reduce the amount of clearance between the face of the spokes on my wheels and the calipers? I've got the ATE setup on now and theres only about 1-2mm clearance as it is so I've not got alot of room to play with

you sure they fit behind 15's, as i had some 288mm V6 brakes that were so tight to 15" that you couldnt have any balancing weights

Sounds like a cracking kit matey!
I use something similar on my P1 made up by Godspeed www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk 335mm x 32mm drilled rotors with alloy bell, spacers to make the caliper wider, mounting brackets and bolts. That cost me £500 so the price your doing them for is a bargain!!!

Ed- they space inwards not out 11mm so you'll have loads more space.
Jr- yes they fit, I'm looking at midlite calipers for a 4-pot upgrade.

get thinner weights....
try and get hold of some pre- august spec lead ones, new weights are zinc, and we encounter major clearance issues at work depending on the car, but we can get really thin ones for special circumstances, like my wheels....
