Ok, so the audi has gone wrong yet again, another fault and im sick of it. ITs costing way too much money now, to be honest ive just grown out of modifying and we are going to get a second hand car and part ex the audi. Thing is, i need to do this very soon and might not get the fault fixed. The fault is it cuts out whilst driving, almost like the engine immobilises but all other electrics, stereo work fine. It wont fire up straight after either, but wait a few mins and it will then start again.

Now the question, im an honest person, always have been and always will be so do i own up about the fault when i part ex her and risk them offering me less, or bite my tongue and leave it for them to discover and deny all knowledge.

btw looks like im getting a renault megane 1.6 1 year old 11k miles, fully loaded with options for 8k.

no dont worry, ahnd the fucking thing over

we took in a car a few weeks back, salesman gave the cheque for it etc etc

its only when our sales manager took went down the road, with the saleman driving

and applied the dual controls in the passenger footwell that he relised he made have made a fuckup as Learner cars arent easy toll sell on, espically when they have 2 sets of pedals

wouldnt tell them if i were you, they'll knock it quite heavily for an unknown fault like that, COULD cost a fortune to fix so they'll prepare for that eventuality to cover their ass.

I had a courtesy car with dual controls

Seriously Stu if your going to P/X with a main dealer or small garrage you'll get away with it

yeah i know ill probably get away with it, tis just im a very honest person and dont like lying to someone. Im going to take the stereo out, take the hks dump valve off and replace with shitty one anyway as i can make money back on them. Cant be bothered trying to track down standard suspension and wheels to sell them on, too much hassle.

yeah i know, but i could spend the 4k id put on top of the audis part ex value and get the audi sorted and modified to have the same power as one, so it kind of defeats the object. Want a family car thats good on fuel and reliable, safe etc etc

when i part ex'd my cinquecento i was stood so my foot was covering the water on the floor from the leaking radiator!

and i put the original alloys back on with bal tyres and left 2 big holes in the metal and door card of the fronts door that was cut out for speakers!

i then got in my new car and legged it!

The problem does sound like the fuel pump relay or one of the sensors activating a safety cutout.
