im jst lookin for ideas on what car to get next year. i was going to save up till late next year and probably get a beemer convertible (e36) or something along the price range of that. (also looked at jap cars but not really wanted to modify the bodywork or out so wasnt too keen on tht idea)

anyway, im not sure if i can be arsed saving up that long, so i was thinking tht around easter time i could probably buy a car within 3k or so. and as said b4, not wanting to it up a car, probably jst alloys etc. heres my choices then, which would u choose and is there anything else ud consider?

astra gsi mk3, black with white wheels, white cage and slammed. everything else standard

106 gti, same as above, white rims and cage it

saxo, buy one already with dimma kit and hopefully find a turbo'd one.

basically, the car needs to be L reg or newer (so no novas ) and insurance group upto around 17, may go upto 18 if its a UK car.any cars out there thatl ul choose?

sorry for the essay but its a sunday afternoon and im bored.

astra GSi > old, piss poor handling as standard, better to find a rebuilt sensibly modded one if you really want one?

106 GTi > this would be my first choice, excellent all rounder, newer etc.

saxo > turbo, unreliability.

if you are going with the white wheels and cage theme you considered an s2 106 rallye?

i havnt really thote of the s2, they look a bit cheap to me tbh and jst not keen on them. iv no idea how reliable saxo turbos are, but of course of they have a bad name for them i definetly wnt look at them i will of coruse be putting coilovers or soemthing decent on the astra so i thote they wud handle well then, is tht right?
