Bit of a big one here guys. a few questions...
Pricing up Graphics cards for a new system im building, ive fallen behind the times with all this new SLI and Crossfire technology coming out.
Am i right in thinking if i purchase 2 PCI-ex cards both with dual dvi out on them i could set up - up to 4 monitor outputs?
and this SLI/Crossfire stuff only outputs 1 monitor by combining output from both cards? just basically giving you alost 2x power of 1 card to one display?
Whats your view on the ATI 1800 range?
im not bothered about setting it up in crossfire mode im just after a great card for up to 4 outputs. (not that ill be needing that many)
which also has great 3D capabilities for 1 output when used for gaming.
Any help much appreciated!

That's how SLI works, yes. 2 cards, 1 output unless you select otherwise.

Nvidia Quadro stuff. I have an NVS 400 which is quad head, won't be suitable for games though, but it was only 40 quid off ebay.
They have newer models I'm sure.
