Can anyone tell me the advantages of buying an iBook, i have heard they are superior in video editing facilties so rather than buying a firewire card for my current pc i wondered if it was worth the extra cash and buying an ibook to edit video on?

If it's mainly for video editing, I'd go for the Powerbook. Still as portable, but it's got the newer, faster, G5 processor which is IMO far better for things like video editing, graphics. Bigger hard drive and Superdrive (CD/DVD+-RW combo drive) as standard.

Yes.
I'd say that the iBook would do film editing better than a PC laptop of the same price, though. They're definitely worth it. The batteries on them last for aaages too if you're just using Office or browsing the internet.
