well was driving round roundabout and braked as so tosser pulle dout infornt of me and rear brakes locked up, rear end fishtaled and i tried countering span other way tried countering then whoops 180 hit kusr bounce off.
luckly only thing wrong is massive chunk missing from wheel
anyone have similar problems with rear brakes scince lowering and how can u sort it????

my bro did this in if r5gtt. u gotta adjust the brake bias adjuster by the rear beam as the car thinks its got loadsa weight in the bak as its lower so its applying more brakin force 2 the rear of the car

mines low as a bitch at the back and no, never locks up from rear at all

fair enough. if theres nothin in the rear end then could it b coz there is no weight over the rear wheels so brakes dont need 2 b as strong at the rear as they r? or it could just b this time that u were just unlucky. atleast ur ok even if u have gotta get a wheel refurbed

If you were going round a roundabout and braked hard your rear end will come round on you as you load up all the weight to the front and the car oversteers...

Its the break bias thing from other posts on here.

Sounds like the brake bias valve needs adjusting, loads on here, have a search.

my corsa used to do that. got sick of it so decided to adjust it. but it wudnt adjust for sum reason so just took it off

i thought i'd adjusted mine enough after lowering 60mm but the other night braking whilst coming up to a roundabout made me realise i hadn't when the back end decided to drift about a metre to the right

Had this problem on mine, after nearly getting into trouble with it a few times when having to stop quickly i decided i had better do something about it! All you need to do is loosen the nut and bolt on the axle, slide it towards the rear of the car about a cm or so and then tighten it up again

when my mate took me out in his redtop corsa, the one twiggy use to own as he started to brake really heavy, the back end swung out and he couldnt catch it, ended up within a metre of a big pole that was a metre wide and about 70 foot high, now that was scarry, lol

i did mine but i dont think i put it back far enough, it's until the spring is just tense correct?

Wel i only lowered mine 40mm, and adjusted it with the car on ramps so the wheels werent off the floor, im not sure how much tension was on the spring after i adjusted it, but it wont hav been much

Yep, my old Corsa used to pull that sh1t on me all the time!!
Just check that nothing underneath is bent!!! Is it a 2 litre btw?

I thought only 1.4 corsa up had the compensator? I was told by a mate the SXi's didnt have them? wierd

as far as i'm aware mine does underneath the car and above the rear beam drivers side... small spring that has to be disconnected?
or are we talking about different things? lemme find a pic

Pretty sure my mate said the SXi's had self ajusting ones in the lines? This could be total boplloxs too tho
