I know a gsi would be way better, but cant afford to insure it (group 11! and im only seventeen). Since the vtr is 7 and sri is 6 ive decided to get one of these. By the way i know it will still cost a lot to insure but its going on the farm insurance so will be a lot cheaper than anywhere else- dont ask, long story. Anyway i have a Corsa B 1.5TD at the moment and have about £2000-2500 to spend. By far prefer corsas, but considering the insurance groups are about the same and the vtr is a 1.6 insead of a 1.4, quicker 0-60, more bhp, more modern, e.t.c, it is very tempting. But I will be called a chav and all that and french motors are supposed to be shoot. Im really torn, help!! Im expexting you all to say the sri obviously, but my situation is different so i think the quicker vtr might be better. Any thoughts.
Sorry to waffle.

I ment it was only started to be made 98 ish instead of 93, so the interior shud be more modern but thanks for your opinion.

i chose the sri just for the fact u dnt hav many options with the saxo ie its either kit or standard with wheels
where-as with the corsa u hav the kitted way, the gsi replica way, the slammed standard with wheels, the list continues

Plus all you need to do is lower it on standard wheels and it looks good

True about the exterior only needing lowering, which would leave more money for a system!

on my corsa 99 plate. i had vibrating dash, wheel arches falling off and so on. i am not saying that a saxo is the pinnacle of workmanship but the corsa leaves a lot to be desired

I had an SRi 16v for my first car at 17 and loved it, however, the vtr is quite a bit quicker so is probably what i'd get if I had the choice now...
