...usually get valves with tyres or with rims? I've had my new wheels delivered today, but due to a problem with Toyo, the tyres haven't surfaced...

Just wanted to know if I'll have to get valves seperately as none came in the alloy fitting kit or if they'll arrive with the tyres

I just want rims surrounded with rubber with little things sticking out that I can put air into them through. I was under the mistaken impression that the wheels arrived ready to go on the car but apparently that's not permitted by courier due to compressed air in the tyres...

So now I have this to think about instead of just putting them on

dude, when you get the tyres fitted, the place will give you them for about £3

just take wheels and tyres to local kwik fit type place and they'll do the rest

Seems to differ as you say, I've never bought alloys over the internet before so didn't know what to expect really... still happy to have em though.

If you bought the wheels with mounted tyres they will come with the tyres fitted, wheels balanced, valves fitted and they will even be inflated

If you bought the wheels and tyres seporately then you will have to take them to ATS who will mount them for free as they have to put anything they do through the books which means they have to pay tax

Well I bought a "wheel and tyre package" which suggested to me they'd come mounted... Not to worry though, I'll sort it.

Cheers Adam and CC

So they sent wheels and tyres separate?

Thats going to cost you money to get them mounted.

Compressed air thing is BS, my Alessios from Wheelbase came mounted and with sufficient air in to bolt on and drive the car.

My recomendation is don't use e-tyres, they will charge you £80 per wheel to mount the tyres

The choice of who to use is very difficult, as most places will treat this as a foreigner and tell you there's no comeback as they didn't supply bits. No good if they scratch your new rims.

I bought tyres new tyres off eBay and Peugeot fitted them onto my alloys and balanced them too. Cost £30. Had all four wheels balanced.

This is also playing on my mind... I know a lad with a garage who usually fits my tyres for me, but his equipment looks like it's made for damaging wheels Wasn't so bothered about the old ones but I dont want to risk the 12month warranty on these especially.
