have been scanning on the reyland site. interested in maybe getting the 4 pots they have.
do these fit under 16's?
i have speedlines.

i know brad fincham has these but he runs 17's. is this because of the brakes?

theyre 300mm discs with the kit.

also, what other 4 pot kits fit under the alessio's? and what do people recommend?

i would reccomend the wilwood setup!

the reylands need a lot of heat of to get them working correctly! but then they are very good

the hi specs do look pretty, we spent 4 days last week with a guy at rally design - sorting brakes for the kit car and we found it hard to beat the wilwoods.
There proven to be good, look decent and perform well, hi -spec are made by a guy that used to work at rally design and left.
also wilwood now do a rather tasty rear disc unit with a mechanical handbrake, that works in the correct function. il show pics after weekend

i would reccomend the wilwood midlite kit for price vs stopping power

this was my car with 16's



there was about 1mm if that of clearance.... i seriously doubt that speedlines will fit over them without some monster spacers... sure speedline dont even fit over v6 brakes do they?

my 2l calipers had to have a bit grinded off them to clear the centre/hub part of my speedlines

reyland changed the design slightly earlier this year, they now fit behin speedlines without the need for spacers

I'm modding the Reyalnd setup I have to get rid of the spacers.

Havnig said that I have had NO problems running the spacers. But I'd rather not have them just for piece of mind.

This is my setup on my corsa, 4 pot wilwoods, but only 285mm but under 16" Rims.

What does the extra mm do for a brake setup?

My discs are 15mm bigger than the Wilwood setup, but essentially the calipers are the same. I'd imagine both setups would compare equally, maybe with the extra 15mm better for heat dispersal????

Anybody actually know?

Its generally the thickness of the discs that help heat dispersal, as well as using a seperate bell.

I would try to avoid spacers where possible, Im just ot a big fan. I ran spacers on my Corsa and had no problems but I definitely wouldnt run them on the Sub. My calipers come that close to the inside rim of the wheel that I can ony use balancing weights on the back face of the wheel.

The Reyland gear looks great, the Wilwoods are spot on as well!!!
