i wish it could be a project. dont think i could afford to fire in a bid much higher than it is at now though really.

and the lack of cambelt being re-fitted troubles me as its not exactly a hard job on a cossie.

My mate had a 4x4 205 GTI Dimma cosworth at 380 BHP that was as rapid as you like but MPG was awful!

I can't read the description too well due to the bad sentence structure, lack of paragraps, poor spelling, unnecessary capilalisation and rubbish font. But I think the cam belt has broken.

I'd be sceptical of the fact he took a month of work rebuilding the head .etc then one random morning:

"ALL IT NEEDS IS THE CAMBELT FITTED WHICH IS INCLUDED AND A FEW PIPES ETC PUT BACK ON"

if he's spent so much on it "THE CAR OWES ME OVER £10,000" then why not take another few days out of your schedule to finish it.
