Well, yesterday i had some inspiration, that was to call rimstyle and ask for one of their good shiney bonnets.... ordered it at about 10am..... was told id have it tomorrow (today) and me being the person i am though well that means later afternoon maybe the next day, but no, at 7.10am, there was a knock knock at the door and a huge box come thru to the sitting room, promply unwrapped by myself and my kitten...
the result:

the weeave on it is spot on, looks so ace

then i decided i need to fit it, so without waiting for someone to help off i went, removed the old bonnet, was a pain to do on your own...
then on went the new one for a trial fit

looks well
fitted as best as i can do for now without an extra pair of hands....

the shut lines are pretty spot on, needs some playing with, and i need to fit some bonnet pins to it, but that will wait till the new year and ill get a body shop to do it as im real scared of making a mess of it!
its very light, so light that it nearly stays open without the bonnet struts, so i only fitted one back onto it....
the quality of it is great, even the back of it is very very neat...

anyway, big thanks to rimstyle for delivering it so quickly!
and ill get better piccies later when i wash the car.

your car isn't about looks, applying a layer of paint could add excess weight which we need to get rid of keep the weave showing it's ace

all carbon ones, they are not as strong as metal ones and they flex abit, then wind gets under them and then have a habit of ripping up
