well after 18months of building it ,its finally done. i bought the shell and running gear off a local lad when i heard he was selling it as a project for my spare time, well it took more than my spare time , infact it took most of my time . I only had basic knowledge about cars , so it was a learning experiance too, my plans were to try and build it as cheaply as possible , but that went out the window as soon as i got it home

well heres how it looked after about two weeks, the alloys i lent off a mate.

of the inside

i then spent endless nights working on it in my garage , freezing my tits off and had a cold almost the whole time i were building it endless cuts and bruises and alot of stress .

i had a combat two kit to go on and some 17" multispokes , i also had a gsi interia .and a cheap amp and a jbl sub

then i changed my mind about what i wanted to go on it , i ended up buying a sri interia and bought a set of buckets, some 17"kahns , i travelled up to scotland to get a carzone bumper , i bought the rear and sides off a lad on here but it were a bit thin , so i re-inforced it with fiberglass , i drove up to newcastle to pick a badboy bonnet up as i couldnt get hold of a decent one with no vents anywhere, i bought a rockford bd1000.1 amp from a local lad - i tried for months and months to get them new morretts but i only ever seen one pair and thats claire richardsons which i believe mine are hers. i didnt want just normal lights so then jacko said there were a pair going down donny way , so i went and bought them

so i start fitting it - let me just say to anyone whos going to do it - dont!

absolute pain in the arse , got the mounts fitted everywhere , ground all the archs away and then fitted the kit and bonded archs on and put the wheels on. took ages to get the kit fitted properly and everything lined up right. i didnt want it to look all bodged like some of the done up cars.

it then starts coming together - bonnets on , lights are in and everythings all lined up got part of interia in

i got all the windows resealed as rear one and bcak two were cut .

i then spent about a week sound deadening it using that ivenhoe stuff , took all roof lining down , did all the floor , about 4 layres in the boot.all doors ect

put rest of interia in and then the car wouldnt start , kept going off. so i took it on the trailer to a local firm and got them to take the clifford concept 300 out , they then said it was under warrenty and a few days later i get a call saying clifford have sent a new 500 out and that it will be fitted for free..bonus eh

so i get car back rubbed it all down ready for painting and took it to my mates uncle who has his own bodyshop, got it all painted cheap and it come back looking amillion times better ..well chuffed

but he left the headlights out for some reason , so dropped them off and by the afternoon they were done and fitted

heres some pictures i took today .

comments welcome positive or negative i dont care , i put a lot of hard work into this over the past 18months and did everything myself! the onlything i didnt do was paint it . I am very happy with the car and everyone i have spoke to likes it , i even got a copper commenting saying "its the nicest boyracer car ive seen" which i took as a compliment.

only downside is i have kind of grown out of this scene now and although i love driving it its not practical. i would of loved this car at 17

anyhow todays piccys

Doesn't look too bad for a kitted car. Prefer the standard GSi kit though!

Not too bad for a kitted Corsa, but I'd prefer all that effort put into a mint GSi with standard kit etc. Still, good effort tho!
