I ment... how does it stop the coils breaking?
Running subs in happens.... its not like a car...
They get better and louder in time. They bed in and the suspension and surround loosen making them louder.
It wont break a sub playing it loud from the start.

the voicecoil isnt used to the movement and will burn out if played too loud - hence why they need to be run in.. He didnt need to run the subs in as they were second hand.

Sorry mate but thats BS....
I would give you some credit if you said,
"It needs movement to cool the VC and with a new sub the suspension and surround are stiff, reducing this movement so less cooling"
But again its not going to be so stiff it makes the coil heat up...

Yeah its great jake. I went through the stage of just playing it stupidly loud seting off alarms and stuff, but i much prefer keeping it down alot.
Sounds Great when working with the diamond comps.
Although its taken them about 2 months to sound right. They sounded quite 'harsh' for a while

RE XXX 12 4.5cuft box 30hz tuning. 36sq inch of port.
4000Wrms from 2 x Tru Hammers...
Screen and bonnet flex is defining loud
Its not bad... don't think it can be beat in a corsa without a wall. Not on streetbass anyway. New line of RE products could change things thought.

I have a new car now.
I will buy the new RE XXXs if i wall and repair the Corsa.
Not putting sub in new car.
Im looking at 250 for the sub. It has a brand new dustcap. Old 1 got cracked removing it.. So its as new with the original "crate" and box.
Amps £1200 ish for both. I paid over £1300!!!
The the Copper limited edition 1s. Over 2000Wrms class a/b each.
Also Yell top battery.
