courtenay turbo conversion is £2300 fitted, and will give you 150bhp, but it WILL break
TBs are more of a variable price depending on what you get, but, and SBD TP164 kit will be about £2k and give you 164bhp, and better throttle response

30bhp jake?
44bhp i think
but, the engine can only cope with a low pressure system, as courtenay done uprate anything

arent x16xe's about 120 with an aftermarket manifold? Both forced induction 16xe's have used either lexmaul or dblias anyway.

cant use lexmaul with it as its not pressure rated
courtenay use the standard inlet
mantzel box works well

i think the sbd kit comes with management supplied, probably omex/mbe with a base map so itll run if you fit it yourself

no idea, never tackled it, but a decent tuner should manage it in a few days

well yeah, but the SBD kit has a base map so you can drive it to/from a rolling road, or just not bother for a while

fit yourself, not hard. i managed
management with SBD kit is MBE, comes with base map which is apparently rather poor
and need a pretty good base engine to achieve 160bhp+ just bolting the bodies on in my opinion. my engine was putting out 130odd bhp towards its death

TB's have got to be better in the long run, turbos are sure to be more unreliable

courtenay turbo conversion are alledgly a bit poor, as they use a spacer plate and 2 head gaskets to lower the compression, which means they leak
apparently
(statement may not be true and i accept no responsibility for what i say, so you cant sue me)

TB's will be more reliable matey, as the 1.6 engine just isnt hard enough to cope with a turbo, plus the compression ratio in the engine is totally wrong for a turbo
