I lost around 100kg when stripping my GSi, but that was the ENTIRE interior, except dash, and also replacing standard front seats with buckets...

but if you are stripping the rear, leaving panelling, etc, just removing seats, wheel & wiper
20-30kg at most...

i personally dont thunk its noticeable, not disagreeing for sake of it, i had retrim done while ago and i had nothing in the car not even carpet just dash and drivers seat.
drove it for 3 weeks like it everyday, and it was just stupidly rattly, noisy and pointless, for sake of somat that dont matter, only if ur car is trackday, or motorsport use is it worth it, and i cant honestly say i found it quicker either well not enough for me warrant the point of not having it
lets just say i noticed as much performance difference as fitting a full exhaust system to say 1.6 corsa, and lets be honest it ent alot, but some will differ to my opinion, as we feel hear different things but thats my 2 bobs worth

fuel has a density of 0.74g/ml, so 40 litres would only equate to around 29.6kg in weight, so not actually alot of difference to be had!
