Just had a quick look on the net!

their are 2 versions of the STI version 2
one runs at 260bhp and one at 275bhp

Bottom ends on these can be fun as well, ive saw 2 of my mates melt theirs

on the other hand, its quite an easy engine to work with.. we had my mates engine from bonnet open to on the floor in about 50minutes or so..

If u need any work doing aceman from on here can help you out, also he has loads of spares for scoobs

they are good engines if they are looked after properly.. heard people running over 20psi and theyve been fine...

Bigger fuel pump is a must though.. standard sccob one aint up 2 much! get a warlbaro one!

dean - walbro not warlbro.

Mine is running at peak 16psi, holding about 14/15psi.... and it feels fine have to stop myself from buying boostcontrollers, and fuel pumps though

Serviced every 3k miles by me..... 1999 STI TypeR coming on for 50k miles in a few months.

RR at 290bhp by Dastek

Mods: 1 cat removed (not downpipe), larger CAT back exhaust.
