On my W800 the little rubber pad on top of the joystick has come off, contacted Sony who said to send them the phone and they'll replace it and send it back - will take a few weeks though!
eBay here I come then!

Give it a few months and you will be searching for this post again.

I take back the "looks pretty easy" statement. The phone is currently in bits and the joystick that needs removing needs more than just a soldering iron to remove it. Gonna take it to work tomorrow as we have some proper IC removal irons that I reckon should shift it.
Opening the phone itself is fiddly but not difficult.

Just found this site (http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/cat/Mobile-Accessories.htm) which has a lot of standard bits and pieces for your phone if they need replaces - not the actual electronic componants but things like genuine replacement screens, battery housings, keypads, joystics (just ordered mine) and other bits n bobs.
Might be handy incase you've lost/broken/scratched something on your phone.
