How does everyone get the money to pay for their cars??it baffles me how theres some people my age (18) or not that much older that seem to have expensive/fast cars with high insurance and/or have spent thousands on their car, changed wheels around a few times etc. I can barely afford to keep my car on the road let alone spend lotsa money on it lol.....

I dont see the problem with this. 99% of parents out their want their kids to have the best they can afford. Its when you get those with Ferrari's and Porsches that it gets a bit stupid.

How i paid for mine so far: dont start learning to drive until you have saved £1k for car/insurance and have a good monthly income, dont drink or smoke, stay single and sell everything you replace (like wheels and bumpers).
no need for loans and all that shoot, just dont go mad.

depends witch route you take after college if some one gets an aprentiship say e.g. an electrician and is on 200+ a week , the majority of them will still be living at home and have very few bills to pay so its a lot of disposable income.

then there are a few with loans.

there are a lot of people, specially at my college who has brand new card , insurance, petrol and everything paid for by there parents even new alloys body kits ect.

im in the same boat once i pay my insurance ect a month i hardly have anything left to save or spend for that matter, with only working a few days a week and having college the rest.

ye i know what you mean, but it does seem a bit excessive for a first car which their probably going to damage in some way or another. My mate with the BMW has already scrathed his car many times parking and has had to buy 2 new AC schnitzer rims after cracking two of his,and has already had all the rims refurbed after kerbing all of them

Due to still being at uni I live at home til next year when I'm finished.

So pay £100 a rent per month - about the same on petrol then rest is mine for anything from car-clothes-drink etc etc

Work hard - I manage 30+ hours a week
