Aparently theres a restrictor in the corsa b 1.2 8v? does anyone know how to remove and will i screw my engine up by doing it. cheers guys

got to try and make the car actually go somewhere!!

They aren't restricted... they are just built for reliabilty and economy, and to go to the shops and back

yeh i noticed they arent the quickest car in the world thing is met a guy the other day admittedly he had a punto but he was holding next to my mate at 140 in an mr2 turbo and hes driving a 1.2 8v punto i was like SHIT thats not right wudnt tell me how though.

You sure he had a 1.2 8v?

If he had a 1.2 16v sporting (think around 85-90 bhp) he'd still be nowhere near 140 but still seem quite quick (well compared to yours)

but come on mate get back in the real world, your car is 45 bhp! it's not gonna be anywhere near 140, you'll be lucky with 100

I don't think he was saying mr2 is slow, I think he was laughing going why couldn't a mr2 do 140! then realised (sarcasticly) everyone was laughing at the corsa doing 140.

you definately sure he said 1.2 8v not 1.4 8v? as the 1.4 8v Turbo - aka punto GT is pretty rapid.

mate we werent driving my corsa

i well dont expect anything like 140 out of my corsa at all but at the moment its topping out at 92mph just want to increase that to atleast a tonne

I know it sounds stupid saying it ws a 1.2 punto but thats all hed tell us Ilooked completly standard with all the badges stil on

(Edd) fairplay mate sarcasim doesnt really come across on here didnt mean my next post to be rude. reckon ill leave the corsa alone if theres not much point tuning it surely i should get more than 92 out of it though?

Forced air induction kit oil breather straight through exhaust accelerated timing slightly cause when timings in correct position it struggles to do 75

(engine could well just be screwed)
