i need longer cables for my ps2 as i am taking it to bits and want to move things around  any idea where i can get longer cables or is it possibile to lenghten or join cables. have found a website that sells spares and wondered if maybe i could join 2 cables some how 
any help would be great

you mean the cable for the dvd drive & such??
tbh you will struggle getting it any longer than it is, as it will suffer serious signal degredation and then you will get shitloads of read errors & such
tbh ot worth the hastle, no matter how unique it would be!

If you used decent quality cable you should be able to pull it off.
Ide cables are only supposed to be a couple of feet max.
You can make them much much longer using cat5e.
Do a trial run with one of teh cables.

tryed 2 or 3 different ps2 spare sites but not having any luck  idea might have to get binned

the wire arent long enough to reposition the boards or the dvd drive so all has to go in as a unit unless i manage to get longer cables
